A practitioner who isn't afraid to step onto the floor

Marek started organizing processes in production companies in March 2016. Before founding Silesia Growth Hub, he spent 7 years in a metalworking plant in Gliwice. There he saw first-hand how the lack of a proper system wastes people's time and owner's money. Marek believes in a simple principle: the shop floor must earn, not stand idle. If machine number 4 is waiting for material because someone forgot to enter it into Excel, it means the system isn't working.

Over the last few years, Marek has personally led 37 implementation projects in Silesia. He doesn't deal with management textbook theories. Instead, he checks how long it takes an operator to find an order in the system. His goal is always to shorten the path from order to finished product shipment. Numbers don't lie if you know how to read them, and Marek can draw conclusions from the most convoluted datasets.

In his work, he focuses on concrete tools that make employees' lives easier. Marek often repeats that the system should make work easier, not add more clicking. That's why during implementations, he spends more time with foremen than in the conference room. He listens to what hinders people in their daily work and removes those obstacles with smart analytics. He doesn't promise miracles, but he guarantees that after he leaves, the processes will be clear to everyone.

Focus on results, not presentations

At Silesia Growth Hub, Marek is responsible for implementation strategy and process audits. In October 2023, he helped a local pressing plant reduce downtime by 18% just by changing the error reporting method. They didn't need space-age technology, just logic and a few database setting fixes. Marek ensures that every client knows exactly what they are paying for and what savings it will bring.

He can be stubborn when he sees a client trying to take shortcuts. If he thinks an idea will only complicate warehouse work, he says it straight out. (By the way, Marek still carries a notebook in his pocket to jot down notes directly from machine operators — he considers this more valuable than any automated report). This approach ensures that implementations at Silesia Growth Hub are durable and actually work long after the contract ends.

Privately, Marek lives in Katowice and is a fan of local industrial history. Ending manual data transcription is his mission, which he carries out in every plant he enters. For him, success is the moment a business owner first sees the real manufacturing cost of a product on his screen, without having to call three managers.
